Registration Closes: Registration is now closed (Closed 6 pm Friday 25th August 2023)

Players may still register after registration closes but your entry will be moved to the reserve list and will only be allowed to participate if an age group player withdraws within the correct seeding range.

Event Constraints: 

- The maximum number of event participants is 120:
- The maximum number per age group is 16 (Note age groups may be split into different groups by ability)
- Age group draws may be combined if there are insufficient participants to make an age group draw viable 

Event Timings

The event is planned to take place over the following days:

- Friday 8th September -  From 5 pm until 9 pm (latest finish)
- Saturday 9th September - From 10 am to 6 pm
- Sunday 10th September - From 11 am to 2 pm

Venue Information:

Number of Courts    4
Parking  The Club has approximately 100 places with the adjoining football and rugby clubs. Overflow parking if needed is not an issue.
Refreshments  Bar: Tea coffees & soft drinks are available at all times. The bar is licensed from 12 noon each day.
Food: A choice of 3 menus will be available both Friday & Saturday. Saturday evening there will be a BBQ in the club gardens from 6 pm.
Gym  None available.
Lockers  None available.

Tring Squash Club’s first Bronze Masters Tournament took place in the heatwave of Friday evening of 8th to Saturday 9th September. 47 players took part in 8 events from Over 35 to Over 70/75. The tournament brought a real buzz to the Club who were pleased to host the event.

Charles Lefevre, a fully qualified marker and regular expert presence at England Squash Masters Regional and National events was the tournament director and superbly co-ordinated the club’s volunteers to put on an excellent event. ESM Event Manager Brian Brock’s expertise and proven software meant the event was very slick and ran smoothly.

Tring is situated close to the county boundaries of Herts, Beds, And Bucks hence the name ‘The 3 Counties Squash Masters’. Tring has four courts, over 350 playing members, a spacious viewing gallery, a bar and most importantly a kitchen from which Barbara Lefevre provided sustenance for the competitors over the weekend.

Even in this inaugural year, over 40% of the participants were Regional event regulars. The standard was extremely high, played in the highest level of good humour and sportsmanship, in front of enthusiastic spectators.

The club was pleased to see several club members taking part and club members Richard Carr and Iain Digby contesting the MO55 title. Tring Squash Club looks forward to hosting future events.
